A little over 2 years ago I take in my Ford Windstar for a service special on an oil change and tire rotation at my local Ford Dealership. Now normally I avoid dealerships with a ten foot pole, but it was a good deal; and I decided to do it. When I did this I was told that the battery needed replacing and I grudgingly agreed to get a ‘Ford’ battery for the van.
Usually I buy one at Walmart or Autozone and just install it myself. And if they battery dies during the exchange period, I take it in and do an exchange. I’ve done the process a few dozen times in my life, and it usually takes no more than 10 minutes.
Well this week my battery in the van begins to not hold a charge. I KNOW the battery is dying if not already dead. I take it to the dealership to see about getting my new battery since it falls within the time frame for a free replacement exchange. Long, Long, Long story short… I had to make an appointment, and I sat at Ford dealership from 715am to 915am this morning. Just so they could tell me my battery was dead, and replace it.
I hate waiting rooms, and especially hate being stuck at a Ford Dealership Service waiting room. They didn’t even have coffee or anything! What’s wrong with these people!?!?
