So I’m watching the local news tonight, WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas, TX. They have a new studio, and they’re showing off all the bells and whistles. Then I see that the backdrop for one of the desks actually looks over at an adjacent apartment complex. What is up with that? Why is that appealing? Aren’t they supposed to have city skylines or something of that nature? It’s like apartment balconies are the iconic image of Dallas/Ft.Worth, and they’re giving it to us a backdrop.

Of course, I also pondered how long it would take for the residents in those apartments to realize they’re on TV 10 times a day? And that begs the question, how long until someone is nude on the balcony? Or how long until someone hangs a “I Hate Dale Hanson!” sign on the balcony? (That’s a little inside DFW joke..)
