Before I share this opinion, let me say that I am a friend of the puppy dog. I have always been around dogs, and I am a fierce supporter of dogs around the world (whatever that means…)

However after reading this story today it has me asking an important question.

Why do people own such beasts? I know that not all dogs attack innocent people, but why would any sane person want an animal in their possession that has the potential of turning and killing you? And is this man freaking awesome or what? He’s a 65 year old truck driver, and he wrestled and strangled a pit bull to death! I run in my neighborhood quite often, and I have always wondered what I would do if attacked by a beast like this. Maybe I can get this grandpa to come along?
