Archives For June 2007
This is old, and has seen it’s way around for a few months. However, I dare you not to cry!
The “Stop It Now ” campaign – just launched locally – will urge people to call a help line if they see an adult whom they suspect of having a sexual relationship with a child.
Billboards and posters show an adult hand holding a child’s hand, with the words: “It doesn’t feel right when I see them together.”
This makes me uncomfortable. While I think it’s a great idea to get adults to report suspected child abuse, it seems weird that a picture of a man holding a child’s hand is considered abuse in some way. Will I be reported if I hold my daughter’s hand?

With the move to the new church, I was presented with a ‘church’ phone. I’ve never had a phone given to me by who I work for. The problem was I currently had a service agreement with Cingular/ATT (Whatever…), and the church phone was with Sprint. So I cancelled my service agreement with ATT and started using my free Sprint phone. Nice little perk!
Then I start hearing the hype surrounding the new iPhone. Being that it’s on ATT, I will not have an option to own such a beast of technological genius. I will be without. I know there are hurting people all over the world, but I still weep for the new iPhone. Am I weird or what?
Not that I could afford it, or it’s service plans; but just knowing I can’t have it brings me some level of pain.
