The True CliffHanger

August 8, 2007 — 3 Comments

As my wife heads out to the store this afternoon she takes the kids into the garage, opens the door on the van and tells them to climb in their seats. As she heads back into the house, she pushes the garage door button so it’ll be open when she returns. It’s a few seconds after this that she hears our 3 year old son Dylan screaming for his life!

She runs to the garage throwing the contents of her purse across the floor, losing both her sandals in the mad dash to rescue Dylan from whatever is wrong. As she enters the garage she finds hims hanging from the garage door, maybe 7 feet off the ground. Of course she grabs him, but you may be asking, “Why was he hanging?”

Well he decided to grab the door as it opened, and took a little ride up. I guess it took him a little higher than he thought. These are the reasons I love having boys!

It should be noted…I watched to see that the boys were starting to climb in the van, then stepped right inside the house to grab my purse and the diaper bag. I didn’t think I was far enough away or gone long enough for them to find trouble – I was obviously wrong! Only Dylan!!! Love that kid.

Mom of four boys here. I feel your pain. :-) They are so fun.

Have you seen The Dangerous Book for Boys by the Iggulden brothers? You will LOVE it! My oldest son got it for his birthday and he is having a blast with it!
