It’s Just Me, I’m Not Famous

December 22, 2007 — 2 Comments

Yesterday I had to visit the public elementary school near my house. (My son, Dylan, is getting some speech therapy there on Fridays.) While I’m in the school office getting some paperwork sorted out for his therapy, a classroom of kids are coming through the office to tell the front office staff Merry Christmas. As they come through the room one of the kids in the class recognizes me, although I feel like I’ve never seen him before. He starts jumping up and down, and pointing his finger at me; the whole time yelling,

“That man teaches me the bible, that man teaches me the bible, that man teaches me the bible!”

I get recognized time to time when I’m out around town, but that is the greatest recognition moment I’ve had in my entire life. I’ll never be convinced that I don’t have the greatest job in the entire world!
