Buyer Agrees to Buy from Seller

February 22, 2008 — 2 Comments

It’s officially official. I’ve submitted my earnest money, initialed mounds of paperwork, sat in a Realtors office for hours, and in only 6 months my family and I will move into the newest house we’ve ever lived in. In fact it will be a completely new house, and designed the way we want it; or at least designed the way our budget allows. Here’s hoping for some great building conditions over the next few months!

I’ve bought and sold an old house (read that story here), and have been scared off by the ‘perfect’ house that only needs a ‘little’ love. I’m so excited that I’ll be living in a house that doesn’t need new carpet, new paint, replaced light fixtures, etc…

I can’t help but walk away from this building contract being extremely grateful that God has given me this opportunity. A year ago, I couldn’t have seen myself ever being in a financial situation to do this with my family. God has been good to me this year, and the chance to build a house is a small dream come true for my family. It will be the most modest house on the block, and I still can’t compete with the doctors and lawyers of the world; but my family will have some room to grow for the first time in our lives.
