A Friend is a Friend is a Friend

I’ve followed the Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer story from a distance this week. I’m not pretending to know all the details of his ‘fall from grace’; but basically I’ve gathered that he was caught partaking of the goods offered by a prostitution ring. What makes it so ironic, is that Elliot Spitzer is a former Attorney General of NY who specifically targeted these very prostitution rings in New York, and ran many of them out of business. He has now resigned as Governor, a move widely expected.

I mentioned to Starr last night that I wondered how we will deal with this when, or if, this ever happens to a close friend of ours. How would I approach a friend who did this to their spouse? What would I say to the spouse that had been cheated on? And would them being a close, close friend to me affect me directly?

Apparently Eliot Spitzer’s story has moved a close friend of his. This video moved me this morning.

I was so idealistic before this happened to 3 different friends of ours…now I’m cautious about what to say. Makes NO SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
