Snow + Cold = Christmas?

Yesterday there was a high of 77 degrees in Lubbock. It was beautiful, sunny, and remarkably not as windy as normal. Then overnight the temperatures plummeted, the snow arrived, and this Monday morning was a gusty, icy, freezing mess. And of course my children thought it was wonderful. The sight of snow is fantastic for my kids; probably because they’ve never been around it that much.

On the way to school today Dylan and Ryan were pointing out all the traceable snow accumulations on cars and buildings as we drove, when Dylan asked the most obvious snow question.

“Can we put the Christmas tree up when we get home from school?”
