When in Doubt Throw It Out

With a closing date set for June 27th, the clean-out begins. The search and sort for what we can give away, what we should sell, or what should be added to the trash pile begins.

Ad Apologies

By The Way. Someone has brought it to my attention that I have ads under some of my posts. I’ve just discovered this, and am trying to figure out how to remove them.

Sorry…

Play Time

School is out for Summer. I’ve spent my official “Off Day” with all three kids running errands, taking Dylan to his last speech therapy session(yes I know what his mother does for a living…), mowing the yard, paying bills, and finally letting Lauryn take her daily 2 hour afternoon nap. While the yard looks great, and the boys were itching for entertainment I pulled out a birthday present Ryan got last week.

I can now say that Summer has officially begun. And I’m craving a Popsicle!

Vacation Recovery

Years ago I attended a big motivational rally in Dallas. I remember Zig Ziglar was there along with Rudy Giuliani, Joe Montana, Jerry Lewis, and a handful of other big ‘motivational’ speakers. It was a good time, and most of us that attended walked out of the meeting either challenged about our future (and holding $300 worth of books) or depressed that they would never be good at anything ever again. I was somewhere in between…

One of the most memorable quotes I took away that day was something Zig Ziglar said right at the beginning. I can’t remember exactly, so this quote might be butchered somewhat…

“We should work everyday like we are starting vacation tomorrow!”

What a great thought. And most days I try and live by this motto, however as I recover from 4 days away from the office, I’m wondering if I could be more productive if I worked everyday as if I just got back from vacation. Of course that just opens up a whole new can of worms!

Memorial Day Thank You

Thank You.
