I think the video is around a 7/8. I think this video with a good follow up strategy by small groups would be the most effective.

I think this video would be awesome for missions. Especially translated into the specific language. Most kids would gravitate and really hone in on this type of message rather than some American getting on a mic.

The theology was good but did not cover everything. I think the resurrection is key and foundational in the story and theology of Jesus. Peter died on a cross but it was because Jesus rose again that sin was conquered. In other words His blood covers and His resurrection overcomes. I don’t know how you would incorporate that into the video and do not have any ideas at this time.

I really liked the ABC process it simplified and word usage like leader and friend are good.

I think if this is used as a tool and not as a means to an end it will be great. Person to Person follow up is needed.

Just my little thoughts.

I would like suggestions from your readers about what kind of video presentation would be more engaging for 3-5 graders. Different script? Different animation style? Live action? Better music? I’d really like to get a version together for that age group or even a little older.

The stylistic animation choices were made to make the video easy to translate (no mouth animation to match) and to be ethnically non-specific. But sometimes that wider focus can compromise effectiveness. Thoughts?

2. When compared to sharing Christ in a one-on-one relationship, where does this measure up?
Nothing can beat a face to face Jesus conversation, but this is a very creative way to do it as well. You have all the object lessons you want, but not a lot of media resources when it comes presenting Jesus. We need more of them.

With media being so big today in kid’s culture I will give it a 7.

It looks like this media piece would better fit 1 and 2 graders. Not sure if it would connect as well with the older students. (4-5 grade)

Not at all. It’s right on. I thought it was great. Nothing misleading about it.

We use media like this all the time in our ministry.
The only thing I might change is the salvation prayer at the end. I thought it was a little long. I love the simplicity of the video.

I’m not sure. It’s an excellent video, but really it’s very hard to generalize salvation. Many different methods, metaphors, and people have different effects on children. Some children will respond better to this video, others will not respond at all. It’s all very dependent on the child.

What ages would it be most effective with? 1st & 2nd graders or 4th & 5th graders?
Definitely not above 3rd grade. I would equate this to something produced on Nick Jr., or Playhouse Disney. Preteens are a little old for this specific video, but it’s perfect for that 1-3 grade age group!

Anyone done missions work with kids? Would something like this be more effective in another country (of course in their own spoken language) than it might be in the states?
Perhaps, but probably not in developing nations. In countries that are more Westernized, it’s worth a shot!

On a purely theological level, is this video correct? Is it misleading?
