Don’t Hate Me

Easily the most popular blog posting series I’ve ever done was on the 5 Things I Hate about Children’s Ministry.  Give it a chance and read it again for the first time.  If you left comments, then I really appreciate you taking the time to do so.  Kudo’s to you for coming out of the corner and being involved!

I promise I wasn’t trying to being mean, I was just looking for a fancy way to drive some traffic to something I had written.  I know that I’ve received a few emails worried that I’m slamming people when their down, but that was never my intention.   As proof, above is the Wordle from the entire series.  See how that “Hate” word is so much smaller than the other words?  I’m really a nice guy, promise…

Jonathan, I just discovered you blog today. I loved the articles on children’s ministry. I’ve never been in children’s ministry, just teen and preaching ministry. But they are universal themes in all areas. Good stuff, man. Happy blogging in the new year!

You know what’s going to happen here, don’t you? For the last few years you’ve written so much about your feelings for puppets (and others have written and linked to you about your feelings for puppets) that you’ve become very associated with puppets. Doesn’t a google search on puppets bring you up right under Jim Henson?

Move over puppets, now Jonathan Cliff will be the Children’s Pastor of Hate. Hey, we can all make that happen. We can get like 10-12 other bloggers to each write a post linking to Jonathan Cliff’s great post about 5 things he hates and it will be done my brother.

    Ha! I love it!

I’m with Kenny. Can you do a wordle on your puppet posts? Interesting to see what that reveals.

BTW… “5 Things I Hate…” was my favorite series so far.
