I’ve got this friend, David Hinkle, that I went to college with. Like many guys that I went to college with, I can totally tell you stories about him that would embarrass him into a life of secrecy. After we graduated college in Tahlequah, OK; we then both moved to Dallas to attend different bible schools. (His much more expensive and prestigious than mine.) We then left Dallas close to the same time, with him heading to Topeka and myself leaving for Lubbock. Both farming communities, oddly enough.
Then a few years ago, I discover that they’re running an Orange program of ministry with their kids, complete with a weekly family experience. Fellowship Bible Church sounds like a wonderful church, and I know that since David has been there they’ve experienced some explosive growth growing from 250 to over 2,000 people! David is the Pastor of Discipleship, and you couldn’t find a better leader and man of God in all of the country.

Fellowship Bible Church in Topeka, KS is a church that has experienced rapid change and growth over the past 6 years growing from 250 to 2000+. We are a “young” church with an average age of 26 and median adult age of 32. 40% of our church body is under the age of 19. We are looking to fill our Pastor of Student Ministries role. Our current student pastor is transitioning to seminary fulltime and we are looking to fill this role soon.
We are looking for someone who can take our small groups-based student ministry and develop students, parents and small group leaders. We need someone who thrives in a changing environment and has experience building a student ministry that currently has approx. 220 students with new families coming in consistently.
This would be a great opportunity for someone who has served as a student ministry associate in a larger student ministry to have a lead role in casting vision, building teams and developing leaders. We currently have a part time Jr Hi intern and two interns coming on board this summer.
