What’s In the Bible? Christmas Tour

This is video 12 of 12 in the What’s in the Bible? 12 Questions of Christmas Blog Tour. Check out  www.whatsinthebible.com each day to find the location of the next video in the series.

Ian asks a final, important question.

What’s in the Bible? is the new 13-DVD series from VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer designed to walk kids and families through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. DVDs 1-4 (Genesis – Ruth) are available now. Check out  www.whatsinthebible.com to learn more.

I know, I know…But Jonathan.  You don’t like puppets!  Why are you linking to this?  First of all, I’ve clearly written in the past that I’m only against BAD puppets.  The What’s in the Bible? series is genius.  It’s funny, educational, and funny.  My kids have been fans of Jelly Telly in the past, and now they love the WITB DVD’s just as much.

Always love Christmas but this one has been very special for myself and our new church. We are still walking through the journey of starting a new church here in Levelland. Very humbling to me personally but very excited to see what God has in store for us.

Favorite Christmas memory… sitting by the fire with family and church in the big house, listening (vs participating, because I preferred to hear) the group singing the more resonate, beautiful hymns, drinking hot cocoa and teaching my younger sister how to write “thank you” over and over so that everyone who gifted her would get a note (she didn’t yet know how to spell but was so proud to express thanks).

Thanks for posting – didnt know these videos existed.

Favorite church Christmas memory- going Christmas caroling each year
Favorite Christmas memory- 1yr we were home schooled and when we came downstairs there was a stack of math problems and each present had a number on it. In order to figure out which present was whose, we had to solve the math problems. I fussed at the time, but I never forgot that Christmas. :). My mom is now a math teacher at a public high school.
I have 2 boys (4 and 1.5 yrs old) who would love these videos. Thanks!

When I was little, we would go caroling all around the county with our church. Afterwards, we would all go back to the church and have hot chocolate. As a little tot, I would look forward to this each year.

My favorite church Christmas so far is probably 2 years ago. It was my husband’s and my first Christmas as husband and wife. We had also just found out that I was pregnant (we weren’t trying, yet God had it planned!). It was amazing how God used that holiday to remind me of His great love – I had a new church family, a godly husband, and a tiny gift inside! I was thinking about becoming a new mother and definitely learned more about the amazing reality of the Savior of the world humbling Himself by being born just a tiny baby. Marriage and pregnancy came quickly into my life, yet that Christmas I learned from Mary to say, “I am the Lord’s servant. Let it be as You have said!”

Favorite Xmas memory . . . maybe caroling with cousins and the youngest (2 at the time) walked right into a retiree’s house.

My favorite Christmas memory is when I was younger I used to get up at night and it happen to be Christmas eve. I walked in on my dad assembling my new bike. I got to test drive it early.

When I was little, I was in a church christmas pageant. I had a lead part (as much as a lead part there ever is in a children’s pageant:-) But I couldn’t stand the ‘dress’ that I had to wear! I do remember performing it at the local nursing home, and how special it made me feel that all of these older people were so amused by it!

My favorite Church Christmas memory was the first Christmas service we spent with our Japanese church–they sang my very favorite Christmas song “O Holy Night,” which gets me every time anyway, but they were singing it in Japanese, lifting their hands and worshiping the King… It was one of those moments I’ll never forget. I was so moved I couldn’t even sing or stand. I had to sit down and just weep for the beauty of it…

My favorite church Christmas memory is playing Joseph to my wife’s Mary in a musical comedy (believe-it-or-not) in Japan.
